Spring has definitely arrived in San Diego! All the winter rain we’ve had has made the flowers bloom literally all around us. On one of my runs through our neighborhood last week, I was amazed at the quantity and variety of flowers and decided I would have to take the time to photograph them! Well, today was that day, and it was SO much fun!
In the fall of 2011, I stepped on the scale and discovered that I was only one pound away from hitting a new threshold that I did not want to hit! This knowledge spurred me into taking action in an effort to turn things around and get the numbers on the scale to move the other direction.
My drink of choice is water. (Well, actually it’s coffee, which is made with water!) Since we started using a Berkey water filter in our home in August 2014, I’ve become a water snob! I am disappointed any time I have to settle for water that hasn’t been filtered by a Berkey!
I find that there are many different ingredients that can come together to make what would be called a “Good Day”. But two crucial elements are: my Bible time & my workout! When I told my friend, Julie, that I’m not a scheduler, she asked me how I’ve managed to stay consistent with these two things for years?

As a wife for almost 20 years, I’ve been given plenty of opportunities to see that there are times when I have a very high opinion of my husband, and find it easy to follow his leadership. However, there have also been times when I’ve doubted his ability to lead me and our family. In realizing this, I’ve prayed some specific prayers and have come such a long way in being able to confidently say that I know my husband is being led of God and is the right leader for our home.
