Hi, I’m Angie!
I’m a wife and mom living in San Diego, but I’m a Texan at heart! I love all things “simple”, and I’m always trying to be a healthier person.
The short list of who I am:
- A Bible-studying Christian
- Wife for 20 years
- Mom of 15-year-old triplets (yes! triplets!!!)
- Homeschooling mom for 10 years
- “Off the couch” for 5 years
The best thing that ever happened to me was becoming a Christian as a teenager!
As a homeschooling mom for 10 years, I will openly and honestly share what I’ve learned. What has worked for us and what has not.
I will tell you my story of standing on a scale and being alerted to the fact that I needed to do…something…to get in shape. Not really knowing what to do, I made a start by putting on my sneakers and going out for a 2-mile walk/jog, 6 days per week. This turned into a passion for running, which has morphed into a passion for finding optimal fitness through a variety of FREE workouts. (PS- If you haven’t checked out FitnessBlender.com yet, I highly recommend you do. More on that later!)
As one of the original moderators (aka The Mod Squad) on the Trim Healthy Mama Facebook page, I offer my knowledge to help those who are still trying to figure out how to implement this way of eating into their lives. I also desire to help motivate those who have already gotten a handle on the basics of THM but need to get “back on track” with it. I, myself, fall into that category from time to time since starting THM in the Fall of 2012.
